Race for Life – Sunday 17th May

Its the Cancer Research Race for Life this Sunday, and as a result, there will be a number of road closures around the city, from 6am until about 4pm. There will be waiting and loading restrictions affecting the same streets on Saturday 16th from 3pm onwards The affected roads in the MCTCC area are:

  • Albion Street for its full length
  • Argyle Street, between Hope Street and Queen Street
  • Bell Street between Glassford Street and Candleriggs
  • Brunswick Street for its full length
  • Candleriggs, for its full length
  • Clyde Street, for its full length (access maintained to Maxwell Street)
  • Glassford Street, for its full length
  • Hanover Street, George Square and Ingram Street
  • Howard Street, for its full length
  • Hutcheson Street between Trongate and Wilson Street
  • Ingram Street, between Queen Street Hight Street
  • King Street, between Parnie Street and Trongate
  • Montrose Street, between Ingram Street and Cochrane Street
  • Queen Street, for its full length
  • Saltmarket, for its full length
  • South Frederick Street, for its full length
  • Stockwell Place, for its full length
  • St Enochs Square for its full length
  • Stockwell Street, for its full length
  • The Clyde Arc (Fastlink Lanes)
  • Trongate, for its full length
  • Wilson Street, between Candleriggs and Hutcheson Street
