Glasgow City Council in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Order: –
- This Order may be cited as “Glasgow City Council (Trongate) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2022” which will come into effect at 0800 hours on Wednesday 28th September 2022 until 1800 hours on Friday 30th September 2022.
- This Order makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven or park any motor vehicle on the following section of road:- (Except those in connection with the works)
ROAD CLOSURE
Trongate (Eastbound) – From the junction with Hutcheson Street, eastwards to the junction with Candleriggs.
Alternative route via Hutcheson Street, Wilson Street, Glassford Street, Stockwell Street, Howard Street, Bridgegate and King Street.
This Temporary Traffic Regulation Order is made by Glasgow City Council as Traffic Authority and is signed by an Officer with delegated authority in terms of the Council’s scheme of delegated functions, that Officer being Christine Francis, Head of Technical Services, Neighbourhoods, Regeneration & Sustainability, at Glasgow on the Thirteenth day of September, Two Thousand and Twenty Two.
