Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the Network Management Contract for the South-West Trunk Road Unit, are carrying out essential inspection work on the M8 at Kingston Complex from Sunday 21st of November until the beginning of January 2022, between the hours of 8pm and 6am, each night. A weekly press release will be released throughout this time.
This scheme, with a value of £400,000, will benefit around 145,658 vehicles using this route each day, by ensuring the continued safe operation of the structure and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
The work will be carried out using multiple closures:
• 06/12/21 – 07/12/21 – Carnoustie Street total closure and Morrison Street near side closure.
• 08/12/21 – 10/12/21 – Paisley Road total closure and Carnoustie Street to Springfield Quay north end total closure.
Diversions will be as follows:
• 06/12/21 – 07/12/21 – Scotland Street > West Street > Morrison Street.
• 08/12/21 – 10/12/21 – Paisley Road > Seaward Street > Scotland Street > West Street > Paisley Road/Kingston Street.
