Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are undertaking essential overnight work on the westbound M8 Woodside Viaducts from Junction 16, Craighall to Junction 19, Anderston, from Monday 16th May to Friday 20th May between 11pm and 6am, each night.
This work requires a closure of the westbound M8 at these locations, with a signed diversion route in operation. These closures will allow the movement of heavy plant machinery to assist in the ongoing repair of the M8 Woodside Viaducts Junction 16 to 17.
Westbound traffic will exit the M8 at Junction 16 and follow the A804 Dobbies Loan to the northbound A81 Garscube Road. From here, vehicles will travel to the St. Georges Road Junction onto the A804 St. Georges Road to Woodlands Road Junction. Then to the A804 Newton Street to re-join the westbound M8 at Junction 19.
Please Note: This route will not be open to emergency service vehicles while this work is taking place, and these vehicles are required to follow the signed diversion.
