The final stage of the Women’s Tour of Britain will see cyclists racing round a 10K circuit of the city, with the same route being open to anyone to cycle on once the race is finished. As a result, there will be many road closures that day, including most of the Merchant City and Trongate.

Impacted roads will have a NO WAITING AND NO LOADING OR UNLOADING restrictions from 15:00hrs on 7 June 2025 to 21:00 on 8 June 2025. The same roads will have a PROHIBITION OF DRIVING from 04:00hrs to 21:00hrs on 8 June 2025. The affected roads in our area are:

  • Albert Bridge, between Saltmarket and Crown Street
  • Bell Street between Albion Street and Watson Street
  • Bridgegate between Kings Street and Saltmarket
  • Clyde Street, for its full length (access maintained to Maxwell Street)
  • George Street between George Square and High Street
  • Montrose St between Multistorey car park and George Street
  • George Square (north side only)
  • High Street for its full length
  • Saltmarket, for its full length
  • Trongate, between Albion Street and High Street
  • Ingram Street between Shuttle Street and High Street
